I am the Knowledge Coordinator of the IADB's Fiscal Management Division.
To describe my research in one phrase, I am interested in what people do when the government is not looking and how understanding those incentives can be useful for designing more effective public policy. In particular, I focus on how fiscal policy can promote equality and growth.
I completed my Ph.D. in Economics at George Washington University. I also hold an MPA/ID from Harvard’s Kennedy School and a BA in Economics from Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
My primary interests are Public Economics, Development Economics, and Applied Microeconomics.
